Outreach to the Deaf Immigrant Community
Join us for an informative webinar featuring Celena Ponce, Deaf and Immigrant Advocate, dedicated to supporting immigrant families with Deaf and hard of hearing youth.
This session will cover best practices for engaging with non-English speaking families and address the critical issue of language deprivation. Participants will learn how parents’ English proficiency impacts their children's language development and explore actionable steps that educators, administrators, and community members can take to improve communication and support for these families.
