“That is so OCD!” Is it? An Introduction to Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
Join Laura Zelaya, LCSW, therapist and founder of Cántaro Therapy Services, for an introduction to obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and how it may differ from conditions that can present similarly, such as generalized anxiety, ADHD, and autism.
Laura will explore common, well-intentioned reactions that can unintentionally maintain OCD symptoms and evidence-informed strategies for responding in the moment. The session will also cover when specialized care may be appropriate, ways to begin conversations with caregivers, and resources for supporting students and their families.

Same Behavior, Different Story: When ADHD and Trauma Look Similar
Join Laura Zelaya, LCSW, therapist and founder of Cántaro Therapy Services, for a closer look at ADHD and trauma, including how they can look similar, how they can differ, and what it may look like when a student is experiencing both.
Laura will explore core presentations of ADHD and trauma-related behaviors and share evidence-informed, trauma-informed, and neuroaffirming strategies for supporting students. The session will also cover patterns that may warrant specialized evaluation, ways to begin conversations with caregivers, and resources for supporting students and their families.
