In 2020, for the first time in more than two decades, the State Board of Education revised the minimum curriculum standards that guide Health Education -- the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills, or TEKS. 

You can read the drafts of the TEKS and the approved final version here

Now, school districts must implement the newly adopted Health Education TEKS, and SHACs have a key role to play in this process.
